AVK.SummarizePUID

MYMobile Security Center has captured the symbian virus AVK.SummarizePUID. Once activated, the virus will connect to network in the background to consume fees. Meanwhile, the virus will undermine security applications in the phone and may result in more serious losses to the user in the attacks that follow.

BW.IbookGame.A

MYMobile Security Center has captured the symbian virus BW.IbookGame, which lures the user to download and install as reading applications. Upon activation, the virus will release other installation packages, communicate with the server and perform vandalism as is commanded by the server. The virus will also block messages from the carrier to prevent the user from getting fee consumption updates in time and may subscribe to costly SP services without the user's awareness. Meanwhile, the virus has self-protection mechanism and cannot be uninstalled manually, thus resulting in continued losses to the user.

MSO.MJ.B

MYMobile Security Center has captured a new variant of the virus MJ on Android devices. Once installed on the phone, it will connect to network in the background to upload the user's privacy, such as the identification number and the location of the phone. Moreover, the virus will send messages to two SP numbers to deduct fees, thus resulting in direct financial losses to the user.

SK.VersatileToll.A

MYMobile Security Center has captured the virus SK.VersatileToll on Android devices. There is no icon for the app after installation. Upon activation, it will send the IMEI of the phone to a designated number and block messages from the carrier to prevent users from getting fee updates in time. Meanwhile, it will also vandalize mobile security applications in the phone, and connect to network in the background to request configuration information from the server. Then the virus will send a message to the designated number for subscription of services, which may result in serious financial losses to the user.

BD.DroidDream.V

MYMobile Security Centre has recenly captured a new variant of the virus DroidDream on devices running the Android operating system. The virus will root the device by taking advantage of the two exploits of Android: exploid and rageagainstthecage. It will also silently install an embedded package "com.android.providers.downloadsmanager" to collect some information of the phone and send it to a designated server. The virus will also download some other malicious installation packages, thus seriously threatening security of the phone.
